We’re backing mental health charity, Mind 1800 1200 Growth Partners

We’ve announced Mind as our new Charity of the Year. This commitment to supporting Mind is part of our mission to make employers’ and employees’ lives easier, happier and healthier so businesses can thrive.

Claire Antony, HR Partner at Growth Partners said:

“We asked our employees to vote for the charity they wanted to be our company charity of the year, and Mind was the overwhelming favourite.

As an employee engagement company, we recognise the importance of mental health and wellbeing and the impact it can have on employees’ lives. By choosing Mind as our charity, we’re reemphasising our commitment to looking after employees and removing the stigma around mental health – we want everyone to feel able to talk openly about their wellbeing.”

The news comes as Mind declared a mental health emergency during last year’s UK national lockdown with more people having experienced a mental health crisis than ever previously recorded. With calls to their helpline doubling, many fundraising events cancelled and shops just reopening, they really need financial support to be able to help people when they need it most.

Our team is hitting the ground running with 18 staff members taking part in Mind’s 100 miles in May challenge – walking, running and cycling a total of 1,800 miles between them. With a challenge fundraising target of £1,800, they’re hoping to raise £1 for each completed mile.

Our team has lots of other fundraising ideas in the pipeline, including the development of innovative open-source software for local businesses, a charity auction, a summer BBQ and a curry contest.
